abstract |
A process for growing diamonds from carbonaceous compounds at high temperatures and pressures within the range of thermodynamic stability of diamond in the presence of metals-catalysts-solvents and active compounds. As such active compounds use is made of cyanamide and/or its metal derivatives of the first, second or eighth Groups. n The herein-proposed process can be employed for manufacturing diamonds fit for use in the tool-making industry and in solid-state (semiconductor) instruments. |
