The present invention relates to carboxylic acid esters of the formula (I), <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and when R1 is a hydrogen atom, R2 is a group of the formula, <IMAGE> (in which X is a methyl group, a chlorine, bromine or fluorine atom), and when R1 is a methyl group, R2 is a methyl group; and Y is a 1-methyl-2-propenyl, 1-methyl-2-propynyl, 2-cyclopentenyl or 2-cyclohexenyl group, and their production and use as an insecticide. |
