A record-bearing member comprises a substrate and an ink receiving layer provided on said substrate, which is capable of fixing an ink into said ink receiving layer within 3 minutes under the conditions of 20 DEG C. and 65% RH when the ink was attached onto the surface of said ink receiving layer at a proportion of 0.7 mu l per unit area (cm2) of said ink receiving layer. An ink-jet recording method performs recording through attachment of small droplets of an aqueous ink onto a record-bearing member, said record-bearing member comprising a substrate and an ink receiving layer provided on said substrate, which is capable of fixing an ink into said ink receiving layer within 3 minutes under the conditions of 20 DEG C. and 65% RH when the ink was attached onto the surface of said ink receiving layer at a proportion of 0.7 mu l per unit area (cm2) of said ink receiving layer. |
