abstract |
In a process for hydroboronizing alkenes or alkynes with catecholborane (1,3,2-benzodioxaborolane) optionally in the presence of an added organic solvent the reaction is catalyzed by a complex compound having one of the formulas: n (I) RhCl(CO) x [E(C 6 H 5 ) 3 ] 3-x' wherein "E" is arsenic or phosphorous and "x" equals 0 or 1, n (II) [RhCl(alkene) 2 ] 2' n (III) [(C 6 H 5 ) 3 P] 3 3 Ru(CO)ClH or n (IV) [(C 6 H 5 ) 3 P] 3 RuCl 2 , n particularly suitable catalysts are, e.g. tris (triphenylphosphine)rhodium(I) chloride and bis(cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) chloride. |
