abstract | A silver halide color reversal photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one cyan coupler-containing red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one magenta coupler-containing green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and at least one yellow coupler-containing blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the total light-sensitive silver halide grains in the photographic material have an average silver iodide content of 5.5 mol % or less, and said at least one of light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers and a substantially light-insensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer adjacent thereto comprises means for producing an interimage effect, said interimage effect satisfying at least one of relationships (a) and (b): n (a) n n 0.20≦ΔlogE(R.sub.0.5)≦0.40, n n n 0≦ΔlogE(R.sub.1.5)≦0.07, n n and n n 0.18≦ΔlogE(R.sub.0.5)-ΔlogE(R.sub.1.5)≦0.35 n n (b) n n 0.25≦ΔlogE(G.sub.0.5)≦0.45, n n n 0≦ΔlogE(G.sub.1.5)≦0.15, n n and n n 0.23≦ΔlogE(G.sub.0.5)-ΔlogE(G.sub.1.5)≦0.35 n n wherein ΔlogE(R 0 .5) and ΔlogE(R 1 .5) each represents an interimage effect on a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer at a cyan density of 0.5 and 1.5, respectively; and ΔlogE(G 0 .5) and ΔlogE(G 1 .5) each represents an interimage effect on a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer at a magenta density of 0.5 and 1.5, respectively. The photographic material exhibits excellent color and tone reproducibility, i.e., high saturation and excellent description of a shade. |
