abstract Both side walls in a periodic magnetic lens device which are arranged in parallel with a planar fluorescent display surface and which define therebetween electron beam paths for guiding electron beams are formed in a shape which is concave-curved, and accordingly, the guide paths have a cross-sectional shape which is substantially rotationally symmetric in order to increase the possible travel distance of an electron beam.
