abstract A magnetic transmission coupling includes an inner torque tube (62) carrying one or more stacks of annularly disposed spaced magnets (70), located within a sealing membrane element (38), and an outer, eccentric drive rotor (74) with a matching one or more stacks of annularly disposed spaced magnets (70). Rotary drive is transmitted across the membrane by rotating the drive rotor which causes the inner torque tube (62) to be driven. The torque tube (62) has an unusually large bore diameter through which an elongate stiff tube (52) may pass.
