Date May 1, 1997The invention relates to lubricant compositions which contain (1) specific organometallic compounds, or (2) a specific organometallic compound and an ashless sulfur compound, or (3) an organomolybdenum compound and an ashless sulfur compound having a specific group, or (4) a specific organometallic compound and a phosphorus compound, or (5) an organonickel compound, or (6) a specific organometallic compound. The lubricant compositions of the invention not only can impart far higher load bearing properties and extreme-pressure properties than conventional ones to members to which the compositions are applied, but also show an excellent lubricating performance at high temperatures. |
