The invention relates to a process for preparing alpha , omega -C4-C20-alkenols by catalytic monodehydration of alpha , omega -alkanediols over a catalyst system comprising the combination of aluminum phosphate and barium phosphate. The gas-phase dehydration which occurs over this catalyst at temperatures of from 300 to 500 DEG C. advantageously combines selectivity with a high space-time yield while simultaneously enabling a high throughput over the catalyst. |
