PCT No. PCT/EP98/00747 Sec. 371 Date Aug. 13, 1999 Sec. 102(e) Date Aug. 13, 1999 PCT Filed Feb. 11, 1998 PCT Pub. No. WO98/36010 PCT Pub. Date Aug. 20, 1998The invention relates to spherical transparent polyester particles having a mean particle size <50 mu m and a monomodal particle size distribution having a span (d90-d10/d50)<2.5 which can be melted to form a continuous coating at temperatures <200 DEG C., to a process for their preparation and to their use for powder coatings. In a preferred embodiment the particles comprise units of formulae (I) and (2) -CO-X-CO(1) -O-D-O-(2) where X is a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C14-aromatic radical or an alkylene, polymethylene, cycloalkane or dimethylenecycloalkane group or a straight-chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkanediyl group and D is an alkylene, polymethylene, cycloalkane or dimethylenecycloalkane group or a straight-chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkanediyl group. |
