abstract An N-allyl carbamate compound which is suitable as an additive is proposed, the chemical main body thereof allowing modifications of the overall structure of the compound in order to ensure sufficiently high compatibility with as many binder systems as possible, wherein the UV-crosslinkable double bond is designed to be as sterically undemanding as possible, linked via flexible bonds, and highly reactive. In the N-allyl carbamate compound of general formula (A) according to the invention, the radical R1 is selected from straight-chain, branched, or cyclic substituted aliphatic hydrocarbon radicals and heterocyclic radicals, wherein the radical R1 includes at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond, wherein R2, R3, and R4 are selected from hydrogen and hydrocarbon radicals, wherein R5 represents hydrogen or an allyl group, and wherein c is an integer of 1 or greater.
