abstract An array substrate, a color filter substrate or a liquid crystal display device comprises an alignment film ( 6 ) which is a light sensitive alignment film ( 6 ) and can generate directions of orientation perpendicular or parallel to the polarization direction under different dosages of linearly polarized ultraviolet light ( 10 ). By adjusting the polarization direction or dosage of the linearly polarized ultraviolet light ( 10 ), multi-dimensional orientations of the alignment film ( 6 ) is achieved. Manufacture of a multi-dimensional liquid crystal display device using a substrate ( 1 ) having the alignment film ( 6 ) with multi-dimensional orientations avoids the manufacture of the multi-dimensional electrode, and reduces costs and difficulty of process.
