A concentration device using magnetic particles and a method therefor, capable of concentrating efficiently and positively a large volume of liquid with a simple structure and on a small device scale, the device comprising a sucking liquid passage permitting a sucking-direction passing only of liquid, a discharging liquid passage permitting a discharging-direction passing only of liquid, a magnetic force means capable of imparting and removing a magnetic field, which can separate magnetic particles, that have captured directly or indirectly object matters suspending in the liquid, by attracting the particles into the liquid passages, to and from the inside of at least one of the liquid passages from the outside of the at least one of the liquid passages, a storing unit communicating with each of the liquid passages, for storing sucked liquid, and a pressure regulation means for regulating a pressure in the storing unit, for sucking and discharging of the liquid. |
