abstract |
A method of efficiently suppressing and removing scale in a hot rolling process of a steel product so as to remarkably shorten a pickling processing time in the next process, comprising the steps of applying a DC or AC of 0.1 to 105 A/m2 per unit surface area from pinch rolls (2) and a roll (6) or an apron guide (7) on the outside of a hot rolling mill (1) to a metal material (11) in a water cooling process for the metal material (11) at 100 to 1200 °C and/or spraying the cooling water with a pH value of -2 to 4 from a cooling header (4) and the apron guide (7) to the metal material (11) so as to remove scales. |
