The invention relates to the use of nanoscale sterols and/or sterol esters with particle diameters of between 10 and 300 nm as food additives and as active agents for producing hypocholesterolaemic products. The invention is characterized by the particular fineness of the particles compared to sterols and sterol esters of the prior art. This results in quicker resorption through the serum with oral administration. |
