The present invention provides novel compounds possessing one or more of the following activities: antibacterial, antifungal and antitumor activity. The compounds are of Formula (I): wherein: Z?1 and Z2¿ are independently-NR3-(wherein R3 is hydrogen or alkyl) or -O-; R?1 and R2¿ are independently substituted alkyl, substituted aryl, heteroaryl, or substituted heteroaryl provided that at least one of R?1 and R2¿ is a group that can form a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt; R3 is hydrogen, alkyl or R?3 and R1 or R2¿ together with the atoms to which they are attached form a heterocyclic ring; X2 is aryl, substituted aryl, heteroaryl, substituded heteroaryl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or heterocyclic; X?1 and X3¿ are independently aryl, substituted aryl, heteroaryl, substituted heteroaryl, or-CHR4, wherein R4 is natural or unnatural amino acid side chain; or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.Pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds, methods of making and methods for using these compounds are also provided. |
