The present invention provides cell culture compositions and cell cryopreservation compositions for culturing and cryopreserving enteric system (ENS) neurons and central nervous system (CNS) neurons. The present invention also provides a method of culturing and cryopreserving ENS and CNS cells. The compositions of the present invention comprise nutrient medium, serum, glutamine, glucose an antibiotic and one or more of the following components: one or more mitotic inhibitors, one or more antioxidants, and a cryopreservative. |
