abstract Disclosed is a coating composition for a photochromic contact lens and the photochromic contact lens coated with the same. The coating composition includes a spiropyran photovariable color compound and/or spirooxazine photovariable color compound dissolved in toluene, and an acryl based binder. The photochromic contact lens coated with the coating composition has advantages of short variable time, and good adhesion of the coating composition to the contact lens and UV prevention effect without an undesirable haze phenomenon.
