A flexible or elastic brachytherapy strand (10) that includes an imaging marker (30) and/or a therapeutic, diagnostic or prophylactic agent (14) such as a drug (14) in a biocompatible carrier that can be delivered to a subject upon implantation needle. Strands (10) can be formed as chains or continuous arrays of seeds up to 50 centimeters or more, with or without spacer material (20) flaccid, rigid, or flexible. |
