abstract |
A thermoplastic elastomer composition obtained by heat-treating dynamically a mixture comprising both a thermoplastic resin (A) having a melting point of 165°C or above and an elastomer (B) comprising constituent units derived from a monomer having an ester group in the presence of a crosslinking agent (C) consisting of a polymer (C1) which is composed of constituent units derived from a (meth)acrylic ester and has a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 1000 to 30000 and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.0 to 4.0 and/or a polymer (C2) which comprises 5 to 35 % by mass of constituent units derived from a (meth)acrylic ester and 65 to 95 % by mass of constituent units derived from an aromatic vinyl monomer and has a weight-average molecular weight of 1000 to 30000 and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.0 to 4.0. The composition is excellent in flexibility, heat resistance, mechanical properties, rubber elasticity, and oil resistance and has an excellent sea-island structure as a whole. |
