Method and device to recognize nerve injuries, specifically brachial plexus injuries and their severity |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a method and a device to recognize nerve injuries, specifically brachial plexus injuries, and their severity, preferably of new born children. To achieve an inexpensive and quick test, which can be executed without harming the patient, it is proposed to measure the motor neuron loss by measuring a biochemical marker, i. e. NSE or protein S 100 in a body fluid. |
