titleOfInvention Ground surface slide guide of lawn mower and lawn mower
abstract A large-diameter, lightweight, excellent-durability ground surface slide guide fixed to a lawn mower in order to perform mowing work comfortably. The ground surface slide guide comprises a resin body of synthetic resin, and a metallic hub coupled to rotate integrally with the resin body. The resin body is constituted of a tubular body and a flange extending upward externally from the entire periphery at the lower end of the tubular body to cover the lower surface of a rotary blade. A retaining ring being pressed against the lower surface of the rotary blade is formed on the outer circumferential part of the hub and exposed to the upper end face of the tubular body. The hub is fixed to a drive shaft by means of a fastener and the rotary blade is clamped between a blade rest and the retaining ring. Lower end portion of the tubular body works as a surface touching the ground. The metallic hub is coupled to rotate integrally with the resin body, overall weight is reduced by the resin body, lower surface of the rotary blade can be covered over a wide range, and stability to the ground surface can be enhanced. Furthermore, durability of the ground surface slide guide can be enhanced because wear resistance performance is enhanced by making the lower end portion of the tubular body working as a portion touching the ground surface thicker than the flange.
