abstract | The invention relates to a pulsating water jet massage assembly (100) for showers or handsprays comprising an assembly housing 110 and a cap member (130). The housing with a circumferential wall has proximate (112b) and distal (112c) extents and an inside surface (112a') defining a housing cavity (112) that accommodates free rotation of a turbine member (120) therein. A housing base (114) disposed adjacent the distal wall extent (112c) includes several nozzles (118). Several fluid ports (119) are radially disposed at the proximate wall extent (112b). The turbine member (120) has a hub portion (122) supporting several, equidistant blades (124). Each blade has a back-curved configuration and a predetermined angle of inclination relative to the hub portion. The turbine member further includes a pair of symmetric rotor tabs (126) orthogonally disposed at a base of the hub portion (122) with windows (128) defined therebetween to reveal at least one nozzle group when the turbine member rotates in the housing cavity. |
