abstract | The object is to provide an ethylene homopolymer which is high in proportion of unsaturated group at one terminal of polymer chain and proportion of vinylidene group in the number of unsaturated group at one terminal of polymer chain and controlled in branching structure. The ethylene homopolymer satisfies the following requirements (1)-(4): (1) the number of ethyl branch per 1000 carbon atoms is 8 or more, (2) the number of alkyl branches other than ethyl branch is 0.1 or less, (3) the proportions of terminal vinyl group and terminal vinylene group in terminal unsaturated group (sum of terminal vinyl group, terminal vinylene group and terminal vinylidene group) are as shown by terminal vinyl group/terminal unsaturated group < 0.01 and terminal vinylene group/terminal unsaturated group < 0.01, and (4) the ratio of terminal vinylidene group and terminal methyl group is terminal vinylidene group/terminal methyl group > 0.90. |
