| abstract |
The invention relates to an abrasive article made from a liquid resin composition that does not contain formaldehyde, which replaces the resol or the urea-formaldehyde resin used as an adhesive in applied abrasives and the resol used as an impregnation resin in agglomerated abrasives. The liquid resin composition is characterised in that it includes a product resulting from the oxidative cleavage of an unsaturated vegetable or animal oil selected from among aldehydes, peroxides and mixtures of said compounds. The invention also relates to the use of the aforementioned liquid resin composition for the production of agglomerated and applied abrasive articles. |
