Optical enhancement for solar devices |
abstract |
The invention discloses a solar device comprising a substrate (1 ) having an outer face (2), through which light (3) enters the substrate and an inner face (4) through which light exits the substrate and enters layers (6) of the solar devices where light energy is absorbed and converted into other forms of energy. In order in improve the absorption of light in the layers of the solar device, the substrate comprises a light deflection means (7) adapted to deflect at least a portion (5) of light exiting the substrate towards a plane defined by the inner face of the substrate such that the light path of the deflected ray (AB) is longer than that of the original non-deflected ray (CD). |
