titleOfInvention Air conditioner
abstract An air conditioner is provided with a refrigeration cycle including a compressor (10) for compressing a refrigerant, an indoor heat exchanger (30) for exchanging heat between the refrigerant and indoor air, a pressure reducing expansion valve (50) for reducing the pressure of and expanding the refrigerant, and an outdoor heat exchanger (60) for exchanging heat between the refrigerant and outdoor air. The air conditioner is also provided with a water discharge opening (71) formed at a position facing the lower surface of the outdoor heat exchanger (60), and with a bottom plate (70) provided below the outdoor heat exchanger (60). A freezing preventing pipe (41) is mounted between the outdoor heat exchanger (60) and the bottom plate (70) such that, in a plan view, at least a part of the freezing preventing pipe (41) passes through the inside of the region of the water discharge opening (71). The freezing preventing pipe (41) is connected between the outdoor heat exchanger (60) and the indoor heat exchanger (30). The air conditioner prevents freezing of drain water or thaws frozen drain water for smooth discharge of the drain water, and this is achieved with electric power consumption reduced.
