abstract Improved methods for the preparation of cross-linked polyimide membranes are disclosed. The process comprises preparing a polyimide polymer cast solution, casting said polyimide polymer solution onto a suitable substrate and solidifying said film, whereby cross-linking occur before the membrane is fully solidified. More in particular, cross-linking agents are either added to the polyimide polymer cast solution or added to the phase inversion coagulation medium.
