titleOfInvention Worldwide interoperability for microwave access system for switching without fixed anchor and switch method thereof
abstract A Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access(Wimax) system for switching without fixed anchor and a switch method thereof are provided by the present invention. The method includes that a source Access Gateway(AGW) sends a switch request to a target AGW, after a terminal finishes anchor switch of Wimax access service network; the target AGW allocates a new location identification pointing to this AGW for the terminal after receiving the switch request from the source AGW, and stores information which maps the terminal identification and the new location identification; the target AGW initiates a location identification registration process, and updates the location identification of the terminal stored in the home Identity Location Register (ILR) of the terminal; the home ILR of the terminal initiates the location identification update process after receiving a trigger message for updating a communication peer, and sends the location identification update notification to the gateways accessed by all the communication peers of the terminal, and the identification of the terminal and the new location identification are carried in this notification; the target AGW sends AGW switch response to the source AGW, the switch is then finished; the source AGW releases the resources allocated for the terminal, and the data messages between the terminal and the communication peers are forwarded via the target AGW.
