The present invention relates to a method for in vitro demonstration of an infection with the dengue virus in an individual, which comprises the steps of: bringing a blood sample from the individual into contact with a ligand specific for the NS1 protein of said dengue virus in order to capture the NS1 protein, if it is present in the blood sample, wherein said ligand is immobilized on a solid substrate, demonstrating the presence of the NS1 protein by means of a mass spectrometry reading, and, if the NS1 protein is demonstrated, concluding that the individual has been infected with the dengue virus. |
