Method and device for obtaining channel state information |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the field of communications technology. Disclosed is a method and device for obtaining channel state information. The present invention is able to reduce signaling and feedback overhead, thereby decreasing work complexity for the UE. In the solution provided in the embodiments of the present invention, any one cell out of a minimum of two cells transmits a reference signal (RS) default transmission time and an RS default frequency to the user equipment (UE); in accordance with the RS default transmission time and the RS default frequency, each cell or cell group out of a minimum of two cells transmits the RS to the UE by means of different RS sources; measurement results sent by the UE are received, the measurement results comprising the channel state information (CSI) between any one cell or cell group out of a minimum of two cells and the UE. The solution provided by the embodiments of the present invention is appropriate for use when it is necessary to obtain CSI between multiple cells and UEs. |
