Provided is a medical instrument, the surface of which exhibits lubricity and/or antithrombotic properties when wet. A medical instrument of the present invention comprises a base layer and a hydrophilic layer that is supported on at least a part of the base layer. This medical instrument is characterized in that: the hydrophilic layer is obtained by forming a crosslinked structure by reacting a compound that has a plurality of thiol groups in each molecule with a compound that has a hydrophilic group and a reactive functional group, which can be bonded to the thiol groups, in each molecule; and the reactive functional group is a thiol group, an alkenyl group, an acryl group or a methacryl group. |
