These colorant-containing particles comprising at least a colorant and a first polymer represented by the general formula (1) have good dispersion properties and dispersion stability. R 1 represents an m+n-valent organic linking group; R 2 represents a single bond or a divalent linking group; A 1 represents a monovalent organic group including at least one group selected from among an organic dye residue, a heterocyclic residue, an acidic group, a group having a basic nitrogen atom, a urea group, a urethane group, a group having a coordinating oxygen atom, a C 4 or higher hydrocarbon group, an alkoxysilyl group, an epoxy group, an isocyanate group, and a hydroxyl group; m represents 1 to 8, n represents 2 to 9, and m+n satisfies 3 to 10; R 3 represents a single bond or a divalent linking group; and P 1 represents a polymer backbone including a Si atom.
