The invention relates to a method for separating permanent magnets from a mixture of scrap, in which, in order to separate permanent magnets (5a) comprising rare earths out of the mixture of scrap (5), the mixture of scrap (5) is subjected to a partial de-magnetization treatment, in which the permanent magnets (5a) comprising rare earths are at least temporarily partly de-magnetized and, after that, the mixture of scrap (5) is led through at least one alternating magnetic field (6, 11) and the partly de-magnetized permanent magnets (5a) comprising rare earths are separated from the mixture of scrap (5) by means of the at least one alternating magnetic field (6, 11). The invention also relates further to partly de-magnetized permanent magnets comprising rare earths which can be obtained in accordance with this method, and to the use of permanent magnets to obtain rare earths from the latter. |
