abstract The invention relates to a method for frothing a liquid product, in particular beer, and to an associated device in which the liquid product is introduced into containers (2), preferably bottles, and in which for each container a predetermined amount of a liquid treatment medium (4) is respectively fed under pressure to the liquid product received in the container (2). An aqueous solution with a proportion of chlorine dioxide or water with a proportion of chlorine dioxide is advantageously fed into the container as the liquid treatment medium (4).
