The invention relates to a material in the form of a cellular monobloc consisting of inorganic oxide matrix having open, progressive porosity containing macropores, mesopores, and micropores. Said macropores, mesopores, and micropores are interconnected, and nanoparticles of at least one inorganic, solid, metal cation-exchange material are distributed throughout said pores. The invention also relates to a method for preparing said material and to a method for separating a metal cation, particularly a radioactive isotope cation, from a metal such as cesium, using said material. |
