abstract The present invention relates to a method for supplying hydrogen to a hydrogen distribution station comprising a first tank (1;3) containing hydrogen gas at a pressure P1, lower than a given target pressure Pcible, with hydrogen gas contained in a second tank (90) at a replenishment pressure. According to the invention, said first tank and said second tank each comprise two compartments of variable volume separated by a movable wall: a transfer compartment (11; 91) and a pressurisation compartment (13; 93); - said transfer compartments (11; 91) are placed in communication; - the volume of working fluid contained in the pressurisation compartment (13) of said first tank (1) is transferred into the pressurisation compartment (93) of said second tank, as a result of which the hydrogen gas contained in said transfer compartments (11; 91) which have been placed in communication is displaced to the transfer compartment (11) of the first tank (1), at constant pressure. - if the pressure of the hydrogen gas contained in the transfer compartments (11; 91) is greater than or substantially equal to Pcible, said first tank (1) is isolated; -if the pressure of the hydrogen gas in the two transfer compartments that have been placed in communication (11; 91) is less than Pcible, an additional volume Vsup of working fluid is introduced into the pressurisation compartment (93) of said second tank (90).
