abstract | A liquid crystal display panel is provided which can realize high transmittance and high-speed responsiveness, which can sufficiently erase traces of finger presses, and which can be easily manufactured. In this liquid crystal display panel, a pixel electrode includes a first linear electrode group which extends in roughly the 45° direction, a second linear electrode group which extends in approximately the 135° direction, a third linear electrode group which extends in approximately the 225° direction, and a fourth linear electrode group which extends in approximately the 315° direction; one of a first alignment film and a second alignment film includes a first alignment region to which a pre-tilt angle is imparted in approximately the 225° direction, a third alignment region to which a pre-tilt angle is imparted in approximately the 45° direction, and a region to which substantially no pre-tilt angle is imparted or to which a pre-tilt angle is imparted in a direction approximately perpendicular to that of the linear electrode group; the other of the first alignment film and the second alignment film includes a second alignment region to which a pre-tilt angle is imparted in approximately the 135° direction, a fourth alignment region to which a pre-tilt angle is imparted in approximately the 315° direction, and a region to which substantially no pre-tilt angle is imparted or to which a pre-tilt angle is imparted in a direction approximately perpendicular to that of the linear electrode group. |
