abstract |
The present invention provides a process for producing a tea product comprising the steps of; a) providing black leaf tea having a moisture content less than 5%; b) adding water in an amount of 30 to 80% by weight of the black leaf tea of step (a); and, c) freeze-drying or vacuum drying the black tea leaf of step (b) under vacuum of less than 600 Pascal and at a temperature of -60°C to + 60°C to obtain the tea product. |
