A cosmetic composition for protecting keratinous substrates against UV radiation, provided in the form of a water-in-oil, or oil-in-water emulsion that includes at least one or more UV filter photoprotective compositions and at least a first silica aerogel, the silica aerogel comprising particles, all in a cosmetically acceptable aqueous carrier. The composition exhibits an SPF that is greater than an SPF exhibited by an identical composition. |
