A green sheet consisting of varistor material is laminated on a ceramic base body (GK), which is provided on both sides with metallizations (EP1, AF), and is sintered to form a varistor layer (VS). A closing pair of electrodes (EP1, EP2) completes the arrangement, allowing the varistor layer to be operated as a varistor. The upper second pair of electrodes (EP2) can directly be used as a connection contact for mounting an electrical component. |
