abstract | The first object of the invention is directed to the process for the production of a suberin polymer, which comprises the step of (a) introducing an orthologous gene of MYB93 transcription factor into plant cells from a plant organism and/or a plant tissue leading to genetically engineered plant cells; (b) stimulating said genetically engineered plant cells; and (c) isolating a suberin polymer that is produced as result of step (b). The second object of the invention is directed to the process for the production of monomer of suberin. The third object of the invention is directed to the use of orthologous gene of MYB93 transcription factor as activator for regulating the expression of suberin synthesis genes in plant organisms and/or in plant tissues. |
