The present invention generally relates to a method for producing silicone hydrogel contact lenses with a rebusteness of lens shape. from a SiHy lens formulation that comprises a polysiloxane vinylic crosslinker having H-donor moieties, a siloxane-containing vinylic monomer with or without H-donor moieties, a N-vinyl amide monomer, and a C 1 -C 4 alkyl (meth)acrylate in an amount for increasing the robusteness of lens shape of silicone hydrogel contact lenses produced from the polymerizable composition. The resultant silicone hydrogel contact lenses are inherently wettable and have a relatively high oxygen permeability, a relatively high equilibrium water content, and a relatively low elastic modulus. |
