abstract A high volume, variable flow rate, long-range monitoring device having a nozzle of different capacity, comprising a housing having a main inlet pipe for receiving water under pressure from a water source and a plurality of steering wheels for adjusting the flow rate of the water and foam mixture. The housing has a main rotary joint formed thereon for controlling the flow rate, adjusted by a rack gear and a worm gear. Flow control is performed during operation and the flow of water from the monitoring device is not required. In addition, said monitoring device also comprises a pinion actuated by means of the gear which adjusts the projection of water towards the zone affected by a situation of full jet and / or fog by rotation of the steering wheel. The spray nozzle includes a forward slider section for varying the shape of the jet of fluid exiting the nozzle. The handwheel is operated through the planetary gear train which collaborates with the rack to move the pinion to a high and low state. The present invention enables uninterrupted real-time operation to provide effective fire-fighting solutions.
