abstract |
The present invention relates to a multifunction block copolymer comprising a hydrophilic non-acidic polymer block (A) and furthermore a hydrophilic acidic polymer block (B) and / or a hydrophobic polymer block (C), the hydrophobic polymer block (C) being provided with a steroid or a derivative thereof and the multifunction block copolymer having at least the structure (A) - (C), (A) - (B) - (C), (A) - ( C) - (B) or a combination of structures (A) - (B) and (A) - (C). The present invention further relates to a self-assembling polymeric nanoparticle, based on the multifunction block copolymer according to the invention, a pharmaceutical composition comprising the polymeric nanoparticle and its use for absorbing cholesterol molecules and the where appropriate, calcium ions from atheroma plaques. |
