The invention relates to the use of a coating composition in reducing or preventing the creation of vacuum by insufficient ventilation of a beverage can. The beverage can includes a can body and a can end, said can end having a cut line. The coating composition comprises a polyester material and is applied to at least the inner surface of the bobbin end by covering at least a portion of the cutting line, a cured film consisting of the coating composition having a glass transition temperature ( Tg) of at least 50 ° C. The invention also relates to a method of coating a bobbin comprising a bobbin body and a bobbin end, said bobbin end having a cutting line.
