abstract |
The present invention relates to a poly(vinyl alcohol) film which comprises a vinyl-alcohol-based polymer and which, when immersed in 60°C water for 2 hours and then examined by the pulse NMR solid-echo method at 60°C, has an NMR signal intensity at the time of 0.10 milliseconds of 78% or less of the initial intensity. From the poly(vinyl alcohol)-based film of the present invention can be produced a polarizing film which has satisfactory polarizing performance and is less apt to decrease in polarizing performance even under high-humidity conditions. |
