abstract | The invention relates to an emulsion circulation system and a roll stand having an emulsion circulation system of this type. The emulsion circulation system comprises a cooling unit (110) for cooling the rollers of the roll stand using a coolant in the form of a first emulsion, and a lubrication unit (120) for lubricating the working rollers of the roll stand or the metal strip to be rolled with a lubricant in the form of a second emulsion. In order to significantly reduce oil losses or oil discharge in the emulsion circulation system, the emulsion circulation system according to the invention provides not only a coolant collection tank (116) for collecting used coolant, but also a separate lubrication collection tank (125) for collecting the lubricant after the use thereof. The lubricant and the coolant are not only collected separately, but also prepared separately in separate preparation units (118, 127) and then reused as far as possible. In particular, the separated preparation of the coolant in the coolant preparation unit (118) permits a significant reduction in oil discharge due to the large quantity of prepared coolant. |
