abstract |
In this electric vehicle power system, a dual inverter is connected to the double-ended three-phase coils of a three-phase motor. The dual inverter operates as a rectifier for rectifying a grid voltage. The dual inverter is connected to a DC power supply including a bidirectional DC/DC converter for changing a power supply voltage. The three H-bridges of the dual inverter each comprise a PWM leg and a fixed voltage-level leg which are alternated periodically. The upper arm switch of the fixed voltage-level leg is constantly turned on. A low-temperature battery supplies a single-phase AC current for forming an alternating magnetic field to the three-phase motor. |
