abstract | A magnetic field sensing device and a method for determining a magnetic field during medical imaging is disclosed, the method comprising: arranging a first sensor comprising a closed container containing alkali gas in the magnetic field; providing a laser beam (6) based on a reference control signal (68); modulating a first part (18) of the laser beam with a first control signal for provision of a first modulated laser beam; transmitting the first modulated laser beam through the alkali gas of the first sensor for provision of a first output signal; detecting, at a position away from the part of the magnetic field to be measured, the first output signal for provision of a first control input signal (46); providing the first control signal (44) based on the first control input signal (46); obtaining a first parameter indicative of the first control signal and optionally a first secondary parameter indicative of the first control input signal; and determining a magnetic field strength at the position of the first sensor based on the first parameter. |
